Glebe Markets

Inner-city hippies and bohemians flock to Glebe Market each Saturday. Once massaged, fed (on tempeh burgers) and outfitted in funky, vintage gear, they retire to the adjacent park and chill out to sounds of bongos and wind chimes.

This is how suburban markets should be: colourful and vibrant with a lively trade in second hand goods, records, furniture, arts, crafts, clothing, jewellery and bric-a-brac. In addition, large calico tents stand in place of stalls, their fabric flapping in the breeze to reveal patrons lying on mattresses having their joints and muscles kneaded and relaxed by trained masseuse.

What more can we say, the Glebe Markets might just be the special market you are searching for.
